The course is named as Bachelor Degree in Visual Art. It is a Four years integrated course.

Course Structure
1:   1st - Year B.V.A (Foundation Course) : One Year
2:   Specialization Degree Course - Duration of Three academic years

1st - Year Foundation Course :
There shall be 800 marks in the Foundation Examination. Each subject carries 100 marks.

•  Compulsory
1:   MIL (Oriya) or Alternative English
2:   English

  Art-Theory (Art History)
  1st. Paper - The Story of Arts & Civilazations

•  Practical
1:   Painting
2:   Applied Art
3:   Sculpture
4:   Print Making
5:   Pottery & Ceramics
6:   Class Work / Studio Practice

Specialization Course

There shall be 600 marks in each part of the examination.

•  Compulsory
    Art History
1:   1st Paper - Art of India or west
2:   2nd Paper - Far Eastern Art and Aesthetics (India & West)

•  Practical & Theoretical Subjects for Specialisation
    The candidate has to specialise in any one of the following subjects:
1:   Painting
2:   Applied Art
3:   Sculpture
4:   Print Making
5:   Pottery and Ceramics
6:   Art History
There is also an elective subject in each specialization stream which is undertaken outside of the college.

Apart from these there is class work and studio practice for these practical papers and Viva-Voice.

•  Practical
1:   1st Paper - Study / Drawing
2:   2nd Paper - Composition.
3:   3rd Paper – Experiment with Method and Material.

•  Specialisation in the Art History
 In the art history specialisation stream, there are four Art History Papers including the above two Art History Papers one elective paper and one practical paper.
1:   3rd Paper – Architecture (India and West)
2:   4th Paper – Primitive, Tribal, Folk and Traditional Art
