This is an information to all concerned that the undersigned is seeking a suitable conception with design in shape of 2D/3D from the artists/architects/sculptors/intellectuals/visualisers/resource persons for competition for a proposed Martyrs memorial at the headquarters of special operations group at Chandaka, Bhubaneswar as per the following guide lines.

OBJECTIVE

I. A memorial structure to be erected in honour of the brave men fought against the Naxalities and sacrificed their valuable lives for save guarding our motherland and life and property of the people.

II. The structural site will be a holly place and names of the brave martyrs will be engraved as a token of remembrance. It will be a memorial site where the family members of the soldiers will pay visit along with the state chiefs and public.

III. The memorial structure should be a place for sombre and sober remembrance and reflection.

I. The form structure should be simple and abstract without presentation of a simple human form/Natural objects/trees etc.

II. Structure should be nameless, faceless of many young men who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.

III. The entire complex needs to be vibrant in all respect, weight age of mightiness /bravery and glorious victory extending various wings of green field/flower garden and sanctity.

I. There are countless memorial pillars/structures seen in global phenomenon including India gate, Rajghat, Shakti pitha, Gate way of India etc.

II. Through in ternate many such structures are noticed.

III. The conception and design must be an innovative and individual.

I. No copy work is acceptable.

II. The undersigned has every right to refuse any work without assigning any reason thereof.

III. The competition script must be typed out clearly with maximum of 500 words with double space. The candidates are also allowed to submit soft copy/DVD for better presentation.

IV. The design to be drawn by means of black and white/colours showing its 4th dimensional effect in a half sheet drawing paper. V. Design with suitable model also acceptable subject to condition that same is handed over at the receiving centre i.e. office of the Principal, B.K.College of Art and Crafts, Bhubaneswar.

VI. No damaged and fragile materials are acceptable.

VII. No many will be paid for preparation of the conception and design.

VIII. Only the suitable models will be scrutinized by the competent resource persons. Maximum of two works of a candidate is acceptable.

IX. All the suitable works will be evaluated by the expert/competent members. Accordingly a cash prize of Rs.10,000/-, Rs.5,000/- and Rs.3,000/- will be paid along with a merit certificate of Ist, 2nd and 3rd respectively. After finalisation of the design, detail model designs will be invited for materialization is important.

X. Last date for receiving the entries at the Office of the Principal, B.K.College of Art and Crafts, Bhubaneswar is 15th November 2010.
