The course is named as Bachelor Degree in Visual Art. It is a Four years integrated course.
Application form for Admission
Candidate seeking admission into the 1st year ( Foundation Course) B.V.A. Course may send his / her application through the prescribed form duly filled in so as to reach at the Principal on or before the last date of receipt of the final application form. Cost of Aplication Form:
A bank draft of Rs. 45/- of any Nationlised bank (payable at Bhubaneswar) should be attached with the application, in favour of the Principal, B.K. College of Art & Crafts, Bhubaneswar in case of downloaded or by person or Rs. 80/- in case of postal. The office will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay.

Selection of Candidates
A candidate is to be selected through a Selection Board formed by the college. After scrutiny, the eligible candidates are to be called for the admission test.
Admission criteria
A candidate must have passed +2 class or it’s equivalent
examination.

Examination of any stream of Science, Commerce, Arts or Fine Arts & Crafts. |

He / She must not be more than 23 years of age as on 1st July of the current academic year. |
Selection procedure
There will be an entrance test examination in the college. A candidate will be assessed on the basis of his / her carrier marks, practical and theoretical mark secured at the test examination.
A candidate securing 40% or more will be eligible for admission into the Foundation Course (1st year of B.V.A.).
Specialisztion Course
B.V.A specialization
course is of three years duration. After completion of Foundation Course, one is eligible for admission into the Specialization stream.
Selection procedure
There are seven specialization streams in the college.
The successful candidates passed from foundation course are eligible for admission in the next class. But the candidates will be proportionately distributed as per their choice subjects basing upon their further marks at the last examination, marks secured at the concerned subject in foundation course.

There shall be six papers for each specialization stream:
• One main subject with three papers in practical
• One elective
• Art theory (two papers)
In case of Art History there shall be two specialization papers and two compulsory art theory papers, one elective project work and one practical paper.
A candidate who fails twice to pass foundation course will not be permitted to continue in the college. No break studies will be appreciated. But in case of the specialization stream, however two chances are given to them in each part to complete the papers without any break of studies. Only after completing of the past examinations, students will be admitted into the next higher part.
Intake capacity
70 seats in each year.
Stipend
Merit stipend of Rs. 200 /- is given to 50% of the admitted meritorious candidates in each year.
